Latin name: Eucalyptus radiata
Description of plant: A tall evergreen growing to a height of 30 m, native to Australia
Nature of oil: Colourless with a strong camphoraceous aroma that is head-clearing, stimulating and cooling
Method of oil extraction: Steam distillation of the leaves and young twigs
Blends well with: Cedarwood, lavender, lemon, marjoram, pine, rosemary, thyme
Specific precautions required: Allergy sufferers should carry out a skin test before use
Stress-relieving properties include: Good for concentration, cluttered thoughts, confidence, balance, understanding
Medical properties include: Antiseptic, antispasmodic, antibacterial, antiviral; decongestant

For the best effects, it is advisable to buy pure essential oils. Products containing synthetic ingredients will not provide the same degree of benefit.
